At least one year of experience as a Fully Qualified Line Mechanic
Ability to climb poles skillfully with Lineman’s climbers
Ability to direct the work of others when assigned
Rubber gloving of high voltage distribution systems up to 23KV
Physically able to perform essential duties (construction, operation, maintenance of electric system; working aloft on poles or ground/pad mounted structures)
Ability to effectively interact, communicate, and direct the work of co-workers
Available to perform overtime and emergency work as required
Live within one half hour of the reporting location and be available at the reporting base within approximately one-half hour during trouble call assignment
Preferred: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with satisfactory clean driving record
Successfully pass written assessment and overhead physical agility assessment

Installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment
Working aloft on electric utility poles or on ground and pad mounted structures
Responding to emergency situations, including Emergency Restoration assignments outside normal responsibilities, work hours, and location
