Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - active license in the state of practice (Board of Nursing) upon hire
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties

Responsibilities

Perform general nursing care to patients
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic
Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing
Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider
Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure preferences for emergency situations; maintain timely patient flow
Greet patients, prepare for physical examination, screen for health history, take vitals, and document in patient chart
Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests
Respond to patient phone calls timely with physician input
Educate patients and families on diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and health maintenance
Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints
Maintain exam rooms with supplies and materials; ensure cleanliness; prepare supply lists
Assure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens per lab protocol; perform quality control and maintain lab testing records
