Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure
Adherence to FMCNA's mission, vision, core values, customer service philosophy, Compliance Program, regulatory requirements, and division/company policies
Ability to function as part of the hemodialysis health care team under direct supervision of a registered nurse
Skills in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy, performing technical aspects of dialysis procedures, administering and monitoring treatments
Capability to monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters, patient care information, significant changes in patient condition, and equipment problems
Experience or ability in patient and family education regarding end-stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medications
Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Strong customer service skills, effective communication, and ability to develop relationships with internal and external customers

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for assigned patients, including all technical aspects of dialysis procedures as prescribed
Administer and monitor dialysis treatments in accordance with the current treatment plan or supervisor directions
Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on flow sheets and other patient care information in individual patient records
Report and document all new or unusual incidents, significant information, changes in patient condition, complaints, problems, or equipment issues to the supervisor
Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care
Assist in developing and following teaching plans to educate patients and families on end-stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medications
Drive FMCNA culture through values and customer service standards, providing outstanding service to all customers
Develop and maintain effective relationships through timely communication; take initiative to respond, resolve, and follow up on customer service issues
Promote and assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment
