Ability to read, verify, and interpret prescriptions (Rx) from optometrists and ophthalmologists
Knowledge of various lenses, spectacle frames (style, weight, color), and optical products for adults and children
Proficiency with tools like lensometer for reading prescriptions
Customer service and sales skills, including explaining procedures and educating on product benefits
Ability to take measurements and ensure proper frame selection for Rx power
Responsibilities
Dispense spectacles and other optical products based on prescriptions
Advise and assist patients with lens and frame selection
Verify order data entry against original Rx for accuracy
Complete proper order filing using the ABC system
Provide excellent member service in person and over the phone, explaining exam fees honestly with a friendly demeanor
Take measurements, select correct frames, read prescriptions on lensometer, notify of readiness, advance orders in system, and handle financial transactions
Strive to meet sales and metric goals by educating patients on product benefits
Support club policies, procedures, compliance, and GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate)
Maintain safe, positive, inclusive environment; ensure club standards like stocking, planograms, signage, cleanliness
Access and understand production/financial performance reporting for the department
