Requirements

  • Interest in engineering and willingness to commit to a 48-month Level 3-degree apprenticeship scheme
  • Ability to attend college one day per week at Bournemouth & Poole College for at least 20% of working hours
  • Availability to work 37.5 hours per week, primarily 3-4 days at the Wimborne facility (BH21 7PW)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in on-the-job training supported by mentors in the Engineering team
  • Complete college-based learning leading to a Level 3 Apprentice Engineering Fitter qualification
  • Gain experience in Engine Assembly, including full strip and rebuild of engines
  • Perform initial assessment of products (Vett) and final checking of fully assembled products to approved standards (Quality Gate)
  • Conduct disassembly and assembly of components, sub-assemblies, and complete products
  • Inspect parts at Vett stage and learn about electrical components
  • Gain experience in Fault Finding
  • Collaborate with highly skilled teams across Manufacturing Operations and other areas of the business
