Requirements

Candidates should possess experience as a UK or Ireland employment lawyer post-qualification, with a strong understanding of advisory and litigation employment law, encompassing the entire employee lifecycle including recruitment, HR policies, benefits, and terminations. They should be interested in working for a tech-scaleup, specifically within the HR-tech space, and demonstrate a willingness to understand a range of international employment law challenges beyond their initial training. Fluency in English and knowledge of another language are required, and experience working remotely is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Legal Counsel - Employment will take ownership of employment legal work for the jurisdiction(s) where they are qualified, with a focus on the UK and Ireland and broader EMEA region, supporting the Employment Legal Team on jurisdictions globally as needed, and assisting in improving processes, templates, and knowledge resources. They will also promote a ‘compliance-focus’ approach, provide solutions rather than escalating problems, and report to the Managing Counsel, Employment.
