Requirements

Candidates should possess 7+ years of professional experience as a software developer, holding a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent, and demonstrate strong hands-on programming skills in more than one language, with a preference for Python. They should have extensive experience designing, building, and migrating complex distributed software systems, along with the ability to understand business problems and model them effectively. Furthermore, expertise in cart systems, payment gateways, and fraud detection mechanisms is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will lead the technical planning and execution of all projects for the Order Capture team, working closely with other lead engineers to drive strategic technical planning with a 12-18 month future view. You will identify tooling for development, testing, and deployments to improve the development experience and implement them, oversee development processes including system architecture, code quality, and deployment pipelines, solve complex engineering challenges integrating systems for cart management, payment processing, and fraud prevention, enhance system performance through iterative improvements leveraging data-driven insights, and ultimately, enhance the customer experience through thoughtful and innovative solutions.
