Requirements

Candidates should have 7+ years of professional experience building backend applications, with Python as their primary language. A solid background in building distributed, cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS, is required. Familiarity with REST API design, microservices, and event-driven architectures is necessary. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for writing clean, maintainable, and testable code are essential. Proven ability to work in remote, cross-functional teams and strong English communication skills are also required. Experience mentoring, reviewing code, and providing technical leadership is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Lead Python Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services primarily in Python. They will develop and enhance APIs, ensuring they are secure, performant, and easy to use. Responsibilities include leveraging AWS services to deliver robust cloud-native solutions, and leading the design and implementation of new features, ensuring scalability and reliability. The engineer will collaborate with product, design, and QA to bring new ideas from concept to production, improve automation and developer efficiency with modern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code, and mentor and support other developers, raising the technical bar across the team.
