Candidates must have over 7 years of professional experience building backend applications with Python as the primary language. A solid background in building distributed, cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS, is required. Familiarity with REST API design, microservices, and event-driven architectures is necessary, along with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for writing clean, maintainable, and testable code. Proven ability to work in remote, cross-functional teams and strong English communication skills are essential. Experience mentoring, reviewing code, and providing technical leadership is a plus.
The Lead Python Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services primarily in Python. They will develop and enhance APIs, ensuring they are secure, performant, and easy to use. Responsibilities include leveraging AWS services for robust cloud-native solutions, leading the design and implementation of new features with scalability and reliability in mind, and collaborating with product, design, and QA teams. The role also involves improving automation and developer efficiency through CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code, and mentoring other developers to raise the technical bar.
