Requirements

  • 5-7 years industry-specific supervisory or management experience
  • Industry specific certifications such as CGIP or CNM (ideal)
  • Strong ability to multi-task and exercise efficiencies in time management
  • Superior interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues, and direct reports, with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Intermediate skills with MS Word & MS Excel
  • Prior CRM or Management system experience (ideal)
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License (must possess and maintain); CDL with class C endorsement preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve all proposals developed by project management team
  • Manage direct and indirect reports regarding disciplinary action, adherence to policies and procedures, appropriate staffing levels, performance management, and training and development plans
  • Oversee daily construction operations, including working with Scheduling Specialist to create schedules
  • Manage limited projects for clients with regular site visits, addressing concerns, selling additional work as needed
  • Monitor stock levels of routine materials and procure special items as needed
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local governing bodies
  • Conduct walk-throughs for projects that will transition into Landscape Services contracts
  • Monitor the DI pipeline of work in progress, sold, and work being bid to determine potential white space in the schedule that could cause lack of work
  • Act as coach and mentor to Project Managers and other department staff, as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with builders, architects, realtors, and other industry partners to generate new business opportunities and expand the company's market presence
  • Travel may be required
