Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and ideally, a Master’s degree, with a minimum of 7 years of product management experience, specifically within data platforms or large-scale data access solutions. Demonstrated experience leading product strategy and roadmap development for complex, data-driven products is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with open-source technologies and data infrastructure is highly desirable.
As the Lead Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product lifecycle management of the Wikidata Query Service (WDQS) and related successor services, collaborating with technical stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into prioritized system requirements. You will also develop and execute the Wikidata Platform roadmap to ensure stable, reliable, and sustainable data access, and guide Wikidata query services to meet growing data and demand. Furthermore, you will serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership and affiliate partners on roadmap development, and modernize the data access infrastructure to improve self-service capabilities for communities.
