Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting or related field
  • GxP experience and IATA/DOT certification preferred; knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements a plus
  • Strategic sourcing experience: identifying and evaluating potential suppliers globally, conducting market research, and developing sourcing strategies
  • Materials planning experience with ability to analyze and proactively manage Material Requirement Planning (MRP) data and systems
  • Leadership abilities and interpersonal skills to lead and enhance team culture
  • Capability to adapt and manage successful operations in a fast-paced, ever-changing lab with large-scale experiments
  • Strong analytical abilities to problem solve, make timely decisions, re-balance staff workload, and coordinate multiple overlapping priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and capability to work autonomously and in a team setting with minimal supervision
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull 30-40lbs consistently; lift 50 pounds occasionally; operate pushcarts, pallet jacks, forklifts
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods in a laboratory setting with chemical-based allergens

Responsibilities

  • Support Managed Services operations by coordinating staff and workloads to meet productivity goals
  • Provide site coverage, assist in training new and current team members, and lead internal/client meetings
  • Coordinate lab equipment repair, maintenance, and calibration, including database management and vendor coordination
  • Proactively address equipment issues and handle asset tagging and tracking per client protocols
  • Collaborate with onsite teams and other departments (Facilities, EHS, Supply Chain, etc.) to prioritize and resolve maintenance needs, plan lab infrastructure projects, and lead preventive maintenance and contamination control
  • Ensure professional relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and building occupants; escort service vendors and provide site-specific training
  • Track inventory of consumables, chemicals, media, and material managed through offsite storage; handle ordering, reviewing expiration dates, and coordinating deliveries
  • Support large or custom orders by obtaining quotes
  • Oversee logistics, supply chain coordination, and maintain company assets in good condition to ensure smooth lab operations
  • Contribute to the efficient operations of a lab engaged in rapid, continuously evolving, large-scale experiments
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards and wear required PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
