Requirements

  • High school diploma required; associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of industrial electrical experience, including troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery
  • Advanced knowledge of AC/DC voltage, drives, control wiring, sensors, relays, and industrial automation systems
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems (Allen-Bradley preferred) and ability to assist with basic PLC troubleshooting
  • Experience with electrical schematics, power distribution, and motor control systems
  • Skilled in using electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Must adhere to all OSHA and NFPA electrical safety practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the plant’s subject-matter expert for electrical systems, industrial power, controls, and troubleshooting
  • Lead, perform, and delegate electrical maintenance and repair tasks for production machinery, extrusion lines, and facility equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues involving AC/DC drives, motors, PLC controls, sensors, control panels, and automation components
  • Coordinate daily work assignments, mentor junior electricians, and support training initiatives
  • Install, wire, and test new equipment, control cabinets, instrumentation, and electrical infrastructure upgrades
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability
  • Collaborate with the Engineering, Maintenance, and Automation teams on system improvements and technical upgrades
  • Maintain accurate documentation of electrical work, schematics, electrical prints, and maintenance logs
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations including OSHA, NFPA 70E, lock-out/tag-out, and company electrical safety standards
  • Support CI activities and participate in root-cause analysis and system optimization efforts
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and promote best practices across the team
  • Participate in safety meetings, cross-functional training, and continuous improvement activities
  • Perform other duties as needed to support efficient plant operations
