Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of actuarial or related experience
- ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries)
- Proven project management skills including experience in development and management of multiple projects
- Prior people leader experience
- Financial acumen and experience building financial models
- Excellent communication skills (both verbally and through written presentation materials or emails)
- Relationship builder with the ability to partner across segments and functional areas
- Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment, as well as independently
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications
- Creativity and intellectual curiosity
Responsibilities
- Develop a strong strategic partnership with the business leadership of the Medicare Duals segment, by collaborating on business initiatives, recognizing and anticipating matters that will materially impact financial outcomes, providing sound risk-management advice, and communicating all of the above effectively
- Coordinate the analytics, reporting, and pricing/bidding best practices of Aetna's SNP segment, across all Aetna geographies, Medicare Advantage market actuaries, and associated Medicaid actuaries. Establish best practices, ensure consistency, and provide guidance to the broader Individual Medicare actuarial pricing team
- Lead and develop a team of actuaries responsible for supporting the IVL MA actuarial team, local market partners, and Medicaid partners to provide a best-in-class bid product, with emphasis on compliance with changing regulations and sound risk management recommendations
