Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with a strong accounting background
  • 4-5+ years of relevant working experience in similar roles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Intermediate level: PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros, charts, formulas, etc.)
  • English level B2+
  • Experience of working in a shared service center across a global/large organization/matrixed international company (preferably an American or Multinational company) will be an added advantage
  • SAP and Black Line systems knowledge
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject Matter Expert for General accounting-related processes, to provide guidance and develop technical skills & knowledge of other junior analysts
  • Perform complex account reconciliations and MEC processes and complex accounting issues
  • Identify and lead opportunities to improve, automate, simplify, or standardize processes; creates projects to execute on those opportunities
  • Coordinate closing and other key deliverables assigned by Supervisor
  • Review and approve Journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements as assigned
  • Build monitor and report operational metrics to Supervisor and Management on a regular basis
  • Assess training requirements for new/or existing team members
  • Ensures documentation of processes and procedures is properly updated and approved
  • Responsible to execute assigned SOX controls and other activities related to internal and external audit requirements
  • Work closely with markets and local accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, issues, and queries in a timely manner by escalating to Supervisor as required
  • Supports ad-hoc tasks and requests as needed
  • Be the first escalation point of contact for internal and external customers and tracking, evaluating, and correcting the operational performance of the RTR team
