Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of land tenure systems and legislation across Australian states
  • Proven ability to research, interpret, and apply relevant legislation as needed
  • Skilled in preparing and executing legal documents related to land tenure and land use
  • Proven experience in building positive relationships with private, corporate, and government landholders and their representatives
  • Advanced skills in stakeholder liaison, negotiation, and influencing, with excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • Strong commitment to safety, with adherence to safe practices and readiness to travel, including to remote locations

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of databases for both new and existing land tenure, agreements, and financial obligations
  • Prepare, review, and support the execution of legal documents, including leases, co-use deeds, access agreements, easements and other property-related documentation
  • Lead the resolution of outstanding tenure issues, ensuring APA’s rights and interests, such as easements, are fully protected
  • Manage lease related activities, including renewals, reviews and termination
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment in property management and land tenure matters
