Physician Reviewer - Psychiatry

Position Overview

Dane Street, an Independent Review Organization and a national provider of Group Health Review services, is expanding its physician panel. This telework opportunity offers physicians a chance to earn supplemental income by providing medical necessity reviews for treatment requests and appeals of previously denied services. The caseload is customized to your schedule, and you will work as an independent contract reviewer (1099).

Requirements

• Specialty: Board Certified Psychiatry
• License: Active Kentucky Medical License
• Experience: Prior Authorizations using MCG & ASAM Criteria, internal clinical policies, LOCUS, regulations (peer support) as it relates to a list of Behavioral Health codes.
• Additional: Current, unrestricted license, Active Practice, BCBA Certified

Responsibilities

• Address the medical necessity of treatment requests.
• Address the medical necessity of previously denied services in appeals.

Compensation & Workload

• Compensation: Compensated on a per-case basis.
• Workload: Caseload customized to your schedule.
• Time Commitment: The average time spent on most reviews is 10-15 minutes, allowing for several cases to be completed within an hour.
• Contract Duration: 3-6 month contract.

• Support: Dane Street offers initial training as well as an ongoing point of contact should you have any questions about completing reviews.
