Requirements

Candidates should possess experience with at least one programming language and/or some exposure to web development, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Applicants should be current students in an accredited degree program or recent graduates of no more than 12 months from the month of the start of the internship.

Responsibilities

The Junior Web Developer Intern will receive hands-on experience and mentoring to build familiarity with modern coding practices, development workflows, and engineering standards, working daily with a cross-functional team of talented professionals spanning engineering, product, and design. They will contribute to feature development for NPR.org, support NPR.org users through maintenance and production issue resolution, assist in quality assurance efforts, help scope and plan technical work, participate in Agile ceremonies, offer constructive feedback on UI/UX designs, and perform their work under the close supervision of the host team.
