Requirements

Candidates should possess a law degree and be admitted to practice law in Spain, demonstrating a strong understanding of Spanish employment law and regulations. Prior experience in legal counsel roles, particularly within the technology or SaaS industry, is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.

Responsibilities

The Junior Legal Counsel will provide employment law assistance and compliance to Deel’s clients, drafting and reviewing employment agreements, employee handbooks, and other relevant documents to ensure adherence to local employment laws. They will also offer counsel to local management and the Human Resources team on a variety of employment issues, including recruiting, employee relations, discipline, and litigation, as well as advising on European working time compliance and handling internal investigations.
