Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics/Engineering, Business, or Mathematics, and a minimum of two years of experience in data warehouse development with strong fundamentals in dimensional data modeling. They should have at least two years of experience creating SQL queries and ETL design, implementation, and maintenance, along with a minimum of two years of experience developing data pipelines using Python and a minimum of two years of experience with AWS, AWS Redshift, AWS Data Engineering and ML Ops tools and services.
Responsibilities
The Junior Data Engineer will collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop data-driven solutions, analyze data sources and pipelines for various projects, design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, SQL, and AWS technologies for the IRIS project, develop and maintain a data warehouse and optimize data storage and retrieval, build schema, populate the database, and automate reporting, document and maintain technical specifications, ETL processes, data mappings, and dictionaries, and support the Data Science Center of Excellence (DSCOE) with other data engineering needs.
