Requirements

At least 3-5 years of commercial or industrial experience as a Journeyman Electrician
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Willingness to travel
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to bend and thread rigid conduit
Ability to wire and terminate devices
Ability to perform quality control testing and troubleshooting
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy objects
Ability to ascend/descend ladders
Good communication skills – ability to interact well with project managers, subordinates, vendors, other trades, and professionals
Proficiency working with live switchgear and understanding/using proper PPE
High school diploma or equivalent
Apprenticeship and/or formal training in the specialty
Fire alarm or low voltage expertise (preferred)
Previous service/maintenance experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

Inspects and evaluates electrical equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation
Determines if equipment and new installations meet National Electrical Code requirements
Studies blueprints and schematics to plan material and labor needs
Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical systems, circuits, and equipment
Performs electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within commercial or industrial settings
Performs related work as assigned
