Requirements
- At least 5 years of commercial or industrial experience as a Journeyman Electrician
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3-5 years of experience in the field or a related area
- Must have an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of this specialty
- OSHA 10 Certification and CPR training (a plus)
- Licensed Electrician (a plus)
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to bend and thread rigid conduit
- Ability to wire and terminate devices
- Ability to perform quality control testing and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of installing electrical systems in new and renovation construction settings
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy objects
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be willing to work nights/weekends/overtime, as required
- Good communication skills – ability to interact well with project managers, subordinates, vendors, other trades, and professionals
- Possession of reliable transportation and basic hand tools
- Must be able to pass Drug Test and Criminal background check
- Proficiency working with Live switchgear and understanding/use of proper PPE
Responsibilities
- Inspects and evaluates electrical equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation
- Determines if equipment and new installations meet National Electrical Code requirements
- Studies blueprints and schematics to plan material and labor needs
- Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical systems, circuits, and equipment
- Performs related work as assigned
