Requirements

U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 1 year of relevant experience
Proficiency in Java and/or Python, with exposure to frameworks such as Spring Boot, Flask, or Django
Understanding of API architectural styles (REST, GraphQL, SOAP) and familiarity with tools like Postman and Swagger UI
Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Local to the DC Metro Area (remote flexible)
Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer; must be able to lift 10-15 pounds at times

Responsibilities

Assist in building scalable and maintainable applications and APIs using Java and Python; write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Support the development of RESTful APIs and microservices to enable secure and efficient system communication
Help integrate third-party APIs and services
Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL) for data storage and retrieval
Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to define requirements and ensure seamless integration
Contribute to performance optimization and apply security best practices in data handling and API authentication
Assist in implementing cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) for cloud-native solutions and deployments
Help maintain and enhance existing applications and APIs
