Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain pallet jack operator certification
  • Ability to work and operate a pallet jack within safety guidelines efficiently at a fast pace, managing share of the workload
  • Physical ability to stand throughout the day, bend and stoop without difficulty, and use hands for firm grasping and fine manipulation
  • 6-month production experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers)
  • Max of two (2) previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire, with a 90-day (3 months) waiting period

Responsibilities

  • Move combos and pallets of product and/or material within the plant
  • Possibly rotate areas of responsibility with other pallet jack operators in the department
  • Operate the stacker, hand-held bar code scanners, and combo labeler
  • Undergo audits on performance and meet training requirements to ensure safe equipment operation
  • Inspect equipment daily
  • Perform other duties as specified by supervisor
