Requirements

Required knowledge and experience in securing computing environments and preventing security-related issues
Responsible for implementation of Global Security Office policies in Firewall and IPS platforms
Work with Medtronic employees, customers, Global Security, approved vendors, and Connectivity team members to design and implement security policy around infrastructure and applications
Use business analysis skills to capture requirements along with technical skills to build the solution
Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls
Nice to have: experience in automating firewall rules or network configuration in Ansible or Terraform

Responsibilities

Firewall rule implementation for customer requests for applications and infrastructure hosted on-prem, Hybrid Cloud and Cloud
Firewall and IPS infrastructure platform design, planning, installation, monitoring, testing, technical analysis and support
Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls (implied operational involvement)
Operational support including participation in an on-call rotation
Maintain standard operating procedures
Typically provides guidance, coaching and training to others
Other duties may be assigned
