Requirements

  • Required knowledge and experience in securing computing environments and preventing security-related issues
  • Responsible for implementation of Global Security Office policies in Firewall and IPS platforms
  • Work with Medtronic employees, customers, Global Security, approved vendors, and Connectivity team members to design and implement security policy around infrastructure and applications
  • Use business analysis skills to capture requirements along with technical skills to build the solution
  • Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls
  • Nice to have: experience in automating firewall rules or network configuration in Ansible or Terraform

Responsibilities

  • Firewall rule implementation for customer requests for applications and infrastructure hosted on-prem, Hybrid Cloud and Cloud
  • Firewall and IPS infrastructure platform design, planning, installation, monitoring, testing, technical analysis and support
  • Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls (implied operational involvement)
  • Operational support including participation in an on-call rotation
  • Maintain standard operating procedures
  • Typically provides guidance, coaching and training to others
  • Other duties may be assigned
