Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field
3+ years of hands-on experience in big data engineering
Familiar with industry big data platform capability/products like Azure, Databricks, Airflow, Spark, Flink etc
Hands-on experience with Databricks workloads and Azure (tech stack heavily leans on Databricks developments)
Familiar with Databases like MySQL, SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL and NoSQL solutions
Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata
Ability to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions
Ability to work independently, and collaboratively across functions
Proven experience in software development with a focus on quality and timely delivery
Strong knowledge of programming languages, databases, and software development methodologies
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools
Certification in Google Cloud E (incomplete in description)

Responsibilities

Translate system requirements and user stories into a robust supportable design of code for the product or application
Develop and test code to ensure it functions as designed
Implement code across the software development life cycle steps preferring CI/CD tooling for deployment and integration
Work closely with product and operations teams for systems/services the software integrates with
Play a role in architecture design of the application where applicable/appropriate
Design, develop, and execute complex software solutions to address business needs
Collaborate with other software engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure software solutions align with business objectives and user needs
Keep current on the latest software practices, technologies, and vulnerabilities
