Virtua Health, a Magnet-recognized health system, is seeking an IS Application Service Liaison. This role is primarily responsible for serving as the IS liaison to business areas, ensuring that application service needs are met and supported effectively. Virtua Health is dedicated to providing exceptional care throughout South Jersey, offering a comprehensive range of services including hospitals, emergency departments, telehealth, and community outreach programs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IS Application Service.
  • Solid understanding of business processes, workflows, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to document business needs and recommend suitable IS solutions.
  • Experience with IS Project Management Methodology, Tools, and Templates.
  • Capability to manage relationships with external IS vendors, overseeing up to 5-7 applications.
  • Strong customer engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct user training sessions.

Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary IS liaison to assigned business areas.
  • Maintain up-to-date operational workflow documentation.
  • Foster effective customer engagement through regular meetings and clear communication.
  • Provide input for the annual IS strategic planning process regarding application needs.

Business Analysis/Solutioning

  • Understand and document business requirements, recommending appropriate IS solutions.
  • Define use cases and conduct impact/gap analysis for proposed solutions.
  • Participate actively in Workouts and Six Sigma LEAN events.
  • Collaborate with customers and IS resources to develop and document business processes.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for both current and future state workflows.

System Support

  • Provide 24x7 on-call operational support for the team’s application portfolio.
  • Review release notes for system upgrades and updates to understand IS build implications and end-user impacts.

Project Management

  • Manage 3-5 small to medium-sized business projects, adhering to IS Project Management Methodology.

Training & Documentation

  • Contribute to or develop application training materials.
  • Conduct user training sessions as required.
