Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building, fabricating, assembling, disassembling and/or testing
  • Comfortable using tools and working with hands, or writing spreadsheets
  • Comfortable with writing and using software scripts, logging data and drafting documents
  • Highly organized and able to communicate effectively
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative to deliver solutions efficiently and effectively
  • Able to balance between the perfect solution and just getting it done
  • Able to work well in an open team environment
  • Close proximity to Dublin, OH to be onsite
  • BS or trade school certificate, equivalent or relevant hands-on work experience
  • Experience with electronics or electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
  • Experience with tools and measurement methods, units, tolerances
  • Comfortable disassembling and inspecting electromechanical devices
  • Capable of standing and performing light manual labor for many hours per shift
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Experience with Python, Matlab and/or data acquisition software (plus)
  • Experience with issue tracking and source control such as Jira/Bitbucket (plus)
  • Experience in a manufacturing or consumer/industrial product test environment (plus)

Responsibilities

  • Execute test procedures and experiments on new and returned product
  • Read, follow, and maintain documentation for QC test procedures and experiment plans
  • Disassemble, assemble and inspect returned products on a routine basis
  • Perform failure analysis and root cause analysis
  • Track hardware product performance
  • Log data and constantly improve data clarity and organization for the IoT test team
  • Work closely with supply chain on inventory processes
  • Work closely with Hardware and Test Engineers on new experiments and QC processes
