Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field; background in finance or similar fields preferred but not required
  • 3–4 years’ experience and above (Associate level)
  • Business proficiency in Japanese and English
  • Solid understanding of economic concepts, financial instruments, markets, and regulations is a plus
  • Comfortable working across multiple functions, geographies, and stakeholders with maturity and sound judgment
  • High energy, drive, and sense of urgency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of relational database concepts (including SQL) is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Investment guideline monitoring of both BlackRock investment funds and client mandates
  • Pre-trade and post-trade investment guideline exception investigation and resolution
  • Collaborating with portfolio managers and internal partners to ensure compliance
  • Executing manual tests and identifying investment guideline coding issues
  • Gaining familiarity with BlackRock’s Aladdin applications, trade flow processes, data environments, and investment products
  • Troubleshooting potential errors
  • Contributing to efficiency and process improvement initiatives
