Requirements

  • Knowledge and interest in market finance and financial instruments, alternative assets, and hedge fund strategies
  • Knowledge of data analytics, data exploration, and reporting is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SQL, and especially Tableau
  • Additional computer knowledge with Python, Power BI, VBA, Visio, PowerShell, and/or JIRA/Confluence is an asset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills both in French and English given the global team environment
  • Detail-oriented and autonomous with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner and under tight deadlines
  • Proactive, positive, and adaptable approach to work with a strong desire to learn

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance reports, dashboards, dynamic tools, and web applications
  • Monitor hedge fund trading strategies to detect unexpected data or style drift in strategy-specific reporting
  • Support the development of Innocap hedge fund benchmarks
  • Drill down into numbers and deliver data-driven insights and analyses to internal and external clients
  • Contribute to financial markets reviews (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Support hedge fund and market research for clients and internal committees
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of static data for Innocap funds
  • Validate client reports and data transfers, and implement automated controls and diagnostics
  • Engage with internal teams to resolve data challenges and issues
