Candidates should have a degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 1 year of confirmed experience in investments/markets. A strong understanding of investment accounting product mechanics, including debt instruments, equities, and derivatives, is required. Familiarity with GAAP/IFRS Accounting Standards is a plus. The ability to prioritize multiple requests, manage time effectively, and adapt to a changing environment are essential qualifications.
The Analyst will be responsible for handling all aspects of accounting and reporting services for insurance clients, including supporting the monthly accounting close and preparing/reviewing monthly packages and regulatory schedules. Key duties involve responding to client inquiries, managing daily exception reports, ensuring accurate investment reporting, and completing quarterly/annual reconciliations in compliance with regulatory requirements like NAIC US Statutory, Solvency II, IFRS, and GAAP. The role also includes analyzing accounting data, providing commentary on results, assisting with client or department projects to improve service offerings, and utilizing learning tools to deepen understanding of accounting policies.
