Bachelor’s degree (Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or IS/IT preferred); relevant work experience will also be considered
Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or customer service
Excellent computer skills with emphasis in model based inventory management and database systems
Detail-oriented and proficient at data gathering, data analysis, and time management
Experience using planning and scheduling systems or forecast management systems in the process industries preferred
Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, and Microsoft Office applications
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk/hear frequently; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch; lift/move up to 10 pounds; specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, adjust focus)
Ability to work in moderate noise office environment; occasional work in operating units requiring PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection); exposure to outside elements; use stairs/elevators; 10% travel (air or auto)
Responsibilities
Oversee and plan inventory at warehouses and terminals to meet customer demand
Maintain route and lead-time parameters in scheduling model
Work together with Production Planners and Shipping Coordinator to meet customer demand supplied from warehouses and terminals
Respond daily to changes in customer demand and take action to maintain optimal inventories
Create and update stock transfer orders as needed
Communicate proactively with Sales and Customer Experience teams on product availability at warehouses and terminals
Coordinate with Product Management to ensure safety stock levels are aligned with business needs
Provide routine reports on inventory to Product Management for their review
Backup other positions as needed
