Responsibilities
- Maintains the Inventory Control area under general supervision and conducts routine audits on department processes
- Communicates deviations from expected outcomes to internal teams
- Assists with the collection of feedback from employees across the department to ensure the technical support function is responsive to business needs
- Compiles and reconciles discrepancies found with book inventory to ensure products remain in-stock
- Maintains invoices, returns, warranty claims, and/or exchanges for the distribution department through an internal electronic system
- Collects billing, pricing for service quotes, and cycle counts for domestically and internationally shipped items
- Inspects stock items within the distribution department for wear, tear, or defects and reports to supervisors
- Communicates with the distribution team on shipments and organizes receipts on a daily basis and updates internal logs
- Monitors processes and maintains inventory control records for accuracy and efficiency; determines the root cause of inventory variances
- Observes team performance within the distribution department and delivers performance evaluations with feedback with recommendations
