Requirements

  • Native speaker in English (advertised targeted language) with fluency in Korean (source language)
  • At least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing, and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents
  • A tertiary or university degree in translation or linguistics and at least 3 years of translation experience OR no university degree and at least 5 years of translation experience
  • Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools

Responsibilities

  • Linguistically and culturally interpret written material to maintain or duplicate the structure and style of the original text while ensuring accuracy of ideas and facts
  • Research industry-specific terminology
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to quality and accuracy, and outstanding problem-solving skills with difficult content and instructions
  • Build strong relationships with the IQVIA Translations Services team
  • Work with the team to update or improve glossaries, Translation Memories, Style Guides, and other internal assets
  • Identify gaps in instructions or external issues that may affect client commitments
  • Act as a strategic partner in delivering translations on time and adhering to quality commitments
  • Proofread translated texts for terminology, grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy
