Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science (or related field, as description cuts off)
  • Highly skilled in SOX compliance, IT controls, and data assurance
  • Expertise in IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT Automated Controls, and Key Report testing
  • Experience with SaaS and third-party hosted business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, HR, procurement, financial reporting)
  • Knowledge of evaluating vendor SOC reports and cloud-hosted platforms
  • Ability to lead testing, walkthroughs, design/effectiveness testing, and remediation efforts
  • Proficiency in ICFR/SOX 404 documentation (e.g., COSO framework mapping, process narratives/flowcharts, risk and controls matrix)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with IT, Security, Finance leadership, and external auditors
  • Ability to apply professional skepticism, independent judgement, and subject matter expertise
  • Current knowledge of emerging risks, regulations, and trends in SaaS governance, IT risk, and data assurance
  • Senior-level experience combining hands-on testing with leadership and oversight

Responsibilities

  • Lead SOX IT testing and assurance for SaaS/third-party hosted business applications
  • Evaluate and test IT General Controls, automated business process controls, and key report logic
  • Collaborate with system administrators, business owners, and SaaS vendors to validate controls
  • Assess vendor SOC reports for outsourced IT environments
  • Assist in annual IT SOX scoping and risk assessment aligned with ICFR/SOX program
  • Conduct/lead walkthroughs and design/effectiveness testing for homegrown/third-party systems
  • Coordinate evidence collection, manage remediation, and ensure audit gap closures
  • Oversee co-sourced/internal team members and review their work
  • Identify control deficiencies, design remediation, and monitor implementation
  • Monitor business process changes, evaluate impacts, and recommend improvements
  • Present change impacts to Head of Internal Audit and stakeholders
  • Manage/update ICFR/SOX 404 documentation
  • Act as liaison with IT, Security, Finance for SaaS/IT SOX assurance
  • Collaborate with external auditors on testing approaches and reliance strategies
  • Train process owners on control requirements, third-party assurance, and best practices
  • Prepare reports/presentations on control results, findings, and remediation for executives/Audit Committee
  • Communicate complex IT/SaaS issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Stay current on emerging risks, regulations, and trends
