Internships @ Wealthsimple

We offer 4 to 8-month internships open to co-op students, non-co-op students, and recent graduates. Interns contribute to impactful projects, receive mentorship, and connect with the Wealthsimple community. Our program follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence on Wednesdays and Thursdays at our Toronto headquarters, balancing flexibility with in-person collaboration.

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled as a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution or technical bootcamp.
  • Recent graduates (within 6 months of graduation date).
  • Available to work full-time hours.
  • Residing in Canada.
  • Able to commute to our Toronto HQ on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

About the Role

As a Workplace Operations Intern, you will manage front desk operations and coordinate facilities requests and services. You will be the first point of contact for employees, guests, and clients, providing support and guidance within our facilities. Your responsibilities will include coordinating daily operational tasks, supporting maintenance repairs, liaising with third-party vendors, and performing administrative duties to ensure the optimal running of the workplace.

Note: This is an in-office position, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities

Front Desk Coordination:

  • Manage daily in-office operations and provide general support to the team.
  • Answer employee questions, assist with seat booking requests, sort mail, and distribute access passes.
  • Monitor and respond to same-day requests via workplace management tools (e.g., Eden) and internal communication channels.
  • Greet guests, support client needs, and triage requests to appropriate teams.
  • Coordinate and communicate with on-site vendors (food service, cleaning, repairs) and liaise with building management for base building issues.
  • Support administrative tasks for workplace programs, including coworking, travel, and team offsites.
  • Sort incoming mail and deliveries, support internal distribution, and arrange outbound mail and couriers.

Facilities & Operational Support:

  • Oversee facility requests from initiation to completion, tracking maintenance tickets for items such as lockers, heating/cooling, lights, and leaks.
  • Assist in scheduling repairs and maintenance based on incoming requests.
  • Coordinate general and seasonal maintenance with vendors.
