Requirements

A portfolio with all personal and school projects
High level of hand sketching and graphic knowledge
Photoshop skills
3D digital modelling experience, preferably in Autodesk Alias or Blender
Ability to confidently present ideas with a clear design vision, supported by compelling design storytelling
Understanding of design and current/future trends within all spaces of design, not just automotive
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Field(s) of study: Transportation Design, Automotive design, Vehicle Design, or a related field
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program at an accredited university
Proof of enrollment in current or next program (MS)
Available for fully in-person work in Newark, CA for 12 weeks (May-August or June-September, flexible end date)

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Interior Design Team on ongoing production programs, bringing unique perspectives, challenging assumptions, and offering fresh ideas
Conduct advanced design exploration on a forward-looking project, imagining Lucid interiors beyond 2036, defining bold scenarios, and proposing innovative interior themes
Engage in day-to-day creative practice, including hand sketching, digital concepting in Photoshop, 3D digital modeling, and participating in design and engineering reviews
