Majoring in Electrical Engineering
Strong academic performance
Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
Availability for spring, summer, and/or fall semesters
Availability for multiple work terms preferred
Valid driver's license
Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program
Military experience a plus

Responsibilities

Become familiar with industry codes and best practices
Build critical thinking skills
Gain understanding of how engineering disciplines work together
Learn various aspects of refinery operations by working with teams
Work on multiple areas of the refinery for broad plant understanding
Expand written and verbal presentation skills
For Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Project Engineers: work on real-world electrical and instrumentation projects, develop project management skills (scope alignment, cost/schedule development, teamwork), support area teams
For Reliability Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineers: troubleshoot E&I issues, analyze equipment failures, develop solutions for recurring issues, submit Project Request Forms (PRFs), understand maintenance strategies, use electrical analysis software for coordination and Arc Flash studies, learn about Refinery Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
For Process Control / Technical Service Engineers: work on process control systems projects, troubleshoot system power supply problems, perform control system programming, handle hardware/software lifecycle replacements, install/troubleshoot communication networks, monitor control system performance metrics
