Requirements

Candidates should possess a Matric Certificate, a Degree or Diploma in Software Development or Computer Science, and at least 3 years of Software Development/Programming Experience, with significant experience potentially replacing the need for formal education. Experience in SDLC, Jira and Confluence or other ticketing systems, and Data Base Design is also required.

Responsibilities

The Intermediate Developer will research, analyze, and evaluate requirements for existing or new software applications and designs, develop, test, and maintain software solutions, construct and implement software platforms at Application and enterprise sub-system level, understand system functionality at enterprise sub-system level, participate in JAD sessions, design, code, and test programs according to specifications, produce technical and user documentation, and may have responsibility for supervision and mentoring of trainee and more junior Programmers, ensuring adherence to quality code walk-throughs and working effectively as part of a project team. They will also be responsible for the delivery of solutions, the support of deployed applications, effective task management, communication, adherence to SDLC policy, and the identification and generation of recommendations for personal development or rationalization/enhancement, as well as the technical development of junior programming resources.
