Requirements

Candidates should possess professional experience with Ruby on Rails, experience working with a platform or complex application, familiarity building and deploying software with CI/CD or other internal tooling, and familiarity with distributed, scalable, and reliable systems. Experience with modern DevOps platforms, particularly GitLab, is beneficial, and proficiency in the English language is required.

Responsibilities

As a backend engineer, you will develop features and improvements to the Switchboard product, working closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to iterate on new features. You will craft code that meets internal standards, confidently ship small features, collaborate on larger projects, and help improve the overall product experience by identifying areas for code improvements. Additionally, you will fix prioritized issues from the issue tracker, contribute to and follow the team's workflow process, and learn, collaborate, and teach other engineers, demonstrating capacity to communicate effectively about complex technical topics.
