Requirements

Candidates should possess an Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Proven experience in system integration, preferably in the maritime or defense industry, is required. Strong technical skills to interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications are essential, along with proficiency in using tools and equipment for assembly, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems. Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, and sensor technologies is preferred, alongside excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

The Integration Technician will collaborate with engineers to integrate hardware, software, sensors, and communication systems into autonomous surface vessel (ASV) platforms. They will assemble and configure ASV components, including propulsion systems, navigation equipment, payloads, and control systems. Conducting thorough testing and validation procedures to verify functionality, performance, and reliability of integrated ASV systems is a key duty. The technician will also identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to integration, maintain detailed records of integration processes, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of integration processes, tools, and techniques.
