Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in health information systems, information technology, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare technology, integration management, technical implementation, technical support or operations, or related field
  • Experience with EHR integrations (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or others) strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in APIs (RESTful, SOAP) and technical languages like JSON, XML, and/or SQL
  • Basic understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, X12, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, and healthcare compliance standards
  • Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation and support of HL7/FHIR/proprietary EHR integrations for medical practices
  • Interface directly with customers to coordinate timelines, assist with integration setup tasks, and advising on best practices
  • Facilitate go-live testing – execute test plans, complete data mapping, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure data completeness and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot issues using runbook documentation and API logs
  • Monitor integration health by establishing monitoring metrics and practices, responding to customer-reported issues, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve reliability and stability
  • Maintain internal and external documentation of data mapping specs, workflows, runbooks, user guides, and support procedures
