Five years of industrial experience working on instrumentation and electrical equipment (applicable military training considered equivalent)
Trade, technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field preferred
Safety focused mindset (ability and desire to put safety first)
Physical ability to drive, climb, lift, carry, push, tighten, loosen, drill, saw, crawl, bend, wrench, shovel, etc., outdoors in all weather; ability to lift 50 lbs
Technical skills: ability to use drills, hammer drills, core drills, power saws, wrenches, pliers, hand tools, and ladders
Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex problems with analyzers, VFD, motor starters, PLC equipment, gas analyzers, truck scales, HV/LV motors
Electrical knowledge: comfortable working on deenergized circuits up to 60KV, trace and measure voltage/amperage on instrumentation circuits, interpret single line drawings
Mechanical knowledge: piping, regulators, valves, pumps, compressors, control valves
Self-starter, fast learner, desire to learn/grow/be challenged, comfortable working alone for extended periods, works well with others
Proficient communication and digital literacy
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Ability to work in a team environment
Flexibility for on-call responsibilities
Responsibilities
Install and troubleshoot a variety of electrical equipment
Calibrate manufacturing instrumentation according to procedures
Perform routine PMs on manufacturing and building equipment including HV transformers, MCC, and Switchgear
Perform critical safety circuit testing (CSS)
Troubleshoot PLC equipment, gas analyzers, truck scales, HV/LV motors
Assist other maintenance techs with assigned tasks
Complete instrument tracking documentation
Complete required safety tasks and activities
Develop procedures for instrument calibrations and preventive maintenance tasks
Learn plant operations and support plant operations as needed
Serve as primary interface between Air Products and customers; communicate with Management, Sales, and Engineering
Develop work scopes for equipment repair and overhaul
Participate actively in department safety programs
Promote safety rules, regulations, and environmental compliance
