Requirements

Candidates should have prior experience with field work such as construction, security systems, or low voltage wiring, and be comfortable operating a bucket truck, work van, or pickup truck. Prior use of power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment is required, along with handyman-like experience and basic computer skills. The role demands comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions, at heights up to 30 feet, and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

The Installation Technician will install poles, mount solar panels, and affix license-plate reading cameras, often working at heights of 10-12 feet and up to 30 feet using ladders or bucket trucks. Responsibilities include digging holes, repairing minor wiring, documenting installations via a mobile app, managing inventory, and meeting with customers for site surveys and installation discussions. Technicians must interpret traffic control plans and permit drawings to identify proper device locations and perform all duties safely and professionally.
