Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or an equivalent field, and a minimum of five years of experience in Infrastructure, Software, or a related engineering position. Strong proficiency in web backend programming using Python frameworks such as Django and/or FastAPI is required, along with experience with Production tracking software and Autodesk Flow/Shotgun, particularly the Python/REST API and event processing. Experience programming web frontend using modern JS frameworks such as Angular or React and CSS frameworks is also necessary, as is knowledge of other languages like Java. Experience with deployments using Docker, Apache/Nginx, and Kubernetes is required, along with solid knowledge of RDBMS/SQL and Postgres.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure web applications, writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, implementing front-end and back-end solutions, conducting thorough code reviews, troubleshooting and debugging complex technical issues, staying updated on technological advancements, participating in architectural discussions, designing and implementing robust database schemas, evaluating and recommending new technologies, ensuring application performance, security, and accessibility, mentoring and guiding associate developers, communicating effectively with stakeholders, monitoring application performance, addressing and resolving technical debt, and keeping up-to-date with the latest web development trends. They will also contribute to strategic decision-making and effectively communicate with all disciplines across the organization.
