You will join small teams to build scalable infrastructure for government services used by millions of Americans. You are passionate about technology that improves lives but understand it's not always the sole solution. You are dedicated to making large-scale systems secure, scalable, and fast. You will operate within the government ecosystem, collaborating with other government contractors and civil servants. This involves navigating diverse working styles and cultural norms, but also allows for the delivery of larger-scale and more complex projects. The government environment includes bureaucracy and a regulated process for software development, with checks and compliance built-in. Nava views these constraints as opportunities for creative engineering solutions within existing frameworks to achieve mission goals. You will engage with legacy systems, often with poor documentation and unreliable information, to replicate system behavior or integrate with them. This is an ideal role for engineers who enjoy software archaeology and are committed to building systems for longevity and resilience.
