Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED, a minimum of two (2) years of experience in aviation, aviation safety, aviation management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, and must be authorized to work in the US. They should have knowledge and experience with FAA regulatory guidance, experience with SMS systems, reporting, training, and monitoring, and a good understanding of airline operations. Advanced education may substitute for experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe products, and Quality Assurance applications is required.
The Inflight Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring the Inflight Safety Team remains in compliance with company safety programs, policies, processes, and regulations, aiding in the development and implementation of Inflight department specifics SMS policies and procedures, assisting with safety debriefs, preparing monthly/quarterly reports and presentations, training employees on company safety policies, processing safety reports, and preparing and facilitating flight attendant new hire safety presentations.
