Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
  • BA or BS degree
  • 5-7 years Income Tax experience or equivalent public accounting experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong PC skills including MS Office
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills – both written & verbal
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of tax law and compliance software
  • CPA candidate desired
  • Experience in preparing Federal and state corporate tax returns desired
  • Experience with tax compliance software desired

Responsibilities

  • Manage income tax compliance including returns, quarterly estimated payments, annual extension payments, and monthly account reconciliations
  • Manage quarterly income tax provision process
  • Draft 10-K and 10-Q tax footnotes and disclosures
  • Manage tax depreciation calculations and analytics
  • Monitor effective tax rate and impacts on a quarterly basis for financial reporting, including preparing supporting documents for external auditors
  • Research income tax issues to minimize tax liability
  • Efficiently manage income tax audits from beginning to end, clearly explain facts to auditors, and use creativity/innovation to address problems
  • Recognize issues, opportunities, process improvements, and planning opportunities; bring to management’s attention and develop execution plans
  • Maintain internal controls as required under Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Initiate preparation of income tax provision, payments, and returns
  • Stay abreast of current tax law changes through continuing education and training
  • Calculate and record income taxes for financial statement purposes
