Requirements

  • Professional finance qualification such as CFA, FRM, CAIA, ACA or equivalent (CPA / ACCA)
  • Detailed knowledge of risks and controls
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing teams on multiple assignments, preferably within financial services
  • First-hand experience in either testing or implementing SOX requirements
  • Ability to roll up sleeves and take responsibility to solve problems
  • Commercial acumen with a balanced approach to risk and controls to support business growth
  • Collaborative, able to work well in a multinational team environment and influence through others
  • Keen to learn and develop knowledge of FinTech and fast-growing scale-up operations

Responsibilities

  • Drive SOX implementation, including designing and implementing governance, methodologies, and reporting for the SOX program
  • Provide insight and support to remediate key control gaps and report progress to senior management and the audit committee
  • Build formal SOX training and communications to support the first line in understanding and complying with SOX requirements
  • Provide ongoing advisory support to first-line colleagues on SOX requirements
  • Lead a high-performing team of approximately 6 individuals, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and ensuring successful delivery of team initiatives
  • Partner with finance and non-finance teams (e.g., IT) to deliver the SOX program
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including finance teams, Risk, and Internal Audit, to establish standards, policies, and develop KRIs for measuring and monitoring risks on a continuous basis
