Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Solid experience and proficiency with electrical circuit design, schematic design, and schematic capture tools
  • Clear proficiency with multiple aspects of hardware design, including digital logic design, CPU subsystem design, clocks, signal integrity, power delivery, and analog components
  • Experience with board design layout and familiarity with multiple-layer board considerations
  • Team project experience outside of coursework
  • Hands-on experience testing L2/L3 products with Ethernet packet generators
  • Passion for building hardware projects and solving challenging problems
  • Skilled debugging capability and intrinsically curious about how things work
  • Understanding of how PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, and high speed SerDes work at the hardware level
  • Capable scripting skills using Python
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated team player, capable of working in a fast-paced R&D environment
  • Understanding of Ethernet routing and switching
  • Familiarity with FPGAs and Verilog
  • Comfortable in a Unix/Linux environment

Responsibilities

  • Support senior team members on assigned technical projects as determined by the business unit
  • Help identify and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Actively provide hands-on support in the lab for hardware quality initiatives and suggest solutions
  • Interface with cross-functional teams during the product development cycle
  • Engage in learning about new technologies and methodologies relevant to work
  • Fulfill tasks and responsibilities assigned by a supervisor in a timely and efficient manner
  • Participate in periodic reviews to share updates and incorporate feedback on assigned projects/initiatives
